Brand Spotlight: J. Brand Womenswear

Everyone knows J.Brand for their amazingly crafted denim, but some may have missed the memo on the launch of their womenswear line! This Fall 2013 ready-to-wear collection is their first official presentation and I am in love with it all! Although it veers a little toward the dark side of what we’re used to from J. Brand, I think we really got to see what they’re capable of. There was no denim in this collection, but it all still made sense. The fundamentality was there with sleek leather pants, structural outerwear and trousers, a neutral color scheme, and refined silhouettes combined with unexpected materials. Every piece was created with the J.Brand woman in mind, who, as the creative director Donald Oliver asserts, is a woman who wants to look “relevant,” but not “trendy”. We like to think we strive to provide the same type of clothing to our customers. While we may not be getting any of these lovelies in our store, I just have to share some of my favorite looks from the collection. Le sigh. Someday…
