The Portland Collection – It’s Back!

We’ve waited (im)patiently and after getting ahold of the 2012 The Portland Collection look book, it was well worth it. Everything we love about TPC is back in full force and even better than before, it you can believe it. We can’t say much yet, but the folks at Pendleton and TPC designers outdid themselves.

The anticipation to show you these photos is killing us; like waiting for Christmas morning after spotting all of the wrapped presents under the tree. But trust us – you should be getting excited too.

Stay tuned for updates and sneak peeks, which we will share with you as soon as we get the OK from our friends at True Collaborative Fashion.

Winter to Spring: 1, 2, 3, Go!

Getting sick of wearing pants yet? Are you ready to retire your winter duds for the season? Well it’s never too early to start easing into warmer clothes, just start out with some baby steps.

This outfit: a super adorable Prairie Underground Stripe Art Poncho, comfy Hardtail Leggings, elegant House of Harlow Triangle Locket and House of Harlow Spike and Cone Ring, to die for Jeffrey Campbell Boots,  and a Prairie Underground Short Raincloak in Red.

Stripes are timeless and an easy way to add an aesthetic element amongst the typical sea of dark, winter solids. Layering with leggings is key to stay warm, look polished and saves the need to shave your legs. No shave January anyone? Hey- a girl can dream! Finish with some simple jewelry, tall boots, a rain coat (just in case!) and you’re out the door. Voila! A practical, yet stylish way to transition into your Spring wardrobe.

Winter’s Favorite Accessory

With the holidays over and the New Year starting off with a blaze (pun intended?), there is much to look forward to as we trudge through the dreary days of winter. Call me crazy, but I’ve already pulled out my sunny weather wardrobe in anticipation for those first warm rays to hit.  Who cares if temperatures will more than likely be hovering just above freezing? That’s what tights were invented for. And we’re in luck that layering is huge this season. But there is one summer item that’s entirley appropriate in the dead of winter and it’s sunglasses. Whether they’re protecting you from bright sunrays or (let’s be honest) extremely pale skin, sunglasses are a practical and functional accessory that won’t be covered up by your giant parka.

The frames to covet this season are House of Harlow 1960 Sunglasses. From the queen of oversized sunglasses, Nicole Richie has hit a bulls eye with her stylish collection of shades. The line features her own updated versions of classic, retro styles in trendy colors.

A Shop Adorn bestseller, the Chelsea Sunglasses in Black, on Nicole Richie. These modern day cat-eye style shades are the perfect big sunglasses to compliment any look.

Friday Giveaway: House of Harlow 1960

It's the last Friday of 2011 and what better way to go out with a bang than with some celeb approved style? Channel your inner Nicole Richie by rocking some House of Harlow 1960! Brought to you by the style maven herself, Richie's jewelry line is equal parts edgy and trendy with a dash of fanfare. Categorizing House of Harlow jewelry as one particular style would be near impossible. It's better to think of the line as a brilliant collision of bohemian meets tribal meets cocktail jewelry. Whatever you want to call it, there's no doubt that this is one fierce collection of statement pieces. And we'd like to share it with you!

We're giving one lucky gal a ring of her choice from House of Harlow 1960! To enter, choose your favorite of these five rings and comment below with your pick and ring size.

You have until Sunday, Jan 1 at midnight to enter the giveaway. We'll select an entry at random and announce the winner on Monday. Good luck and have a safe and happy New Year!

3 Looks: Prairie Underground Denim Girdle Legging

Today we’re spotlighting the amazing Prairie Underground Denim Girdle Legging in Black. At first glance, these may look a little scary but you have to try them to believe how flattering they are! They have a high, zippered waist that adjusts easily to different sizes and the centered front seams create a long and lean appearance. The exposed zipper allows for two completely different looks depending on whether you cover it up. Show it off for an edgier vibe or keep it covered like we did, which offers a lot of versatility.

Look 1: A day at the office or event

This would be a great outfit for work or an event where you need to look pulled together. Accessorizing is easy with some gold jewelry and heels. The sweater is also reversible so you can play around with the buttons exposed or not.

Note: Some of these items have already sold out! So, if it's not immediately available on line, we'd be happy to let you know when they'll be back in stock or special order a shipment!

As you can see, the back of this sweater could also be worn as the front. It would look great layered with a cami!

Look 2: Christmas shopping

This look is perfect for those hectic shopping days when you’re running around but still want to look great. The cloak hoodie is great to throw on and off when you’re walking from the car and dodging the rain.

Look 3: A weekend at the mountain

A weekend getaway to the mountain can be stylish and practical! Slip your girdle leggings into some rainboots to keep your feet protected from the snow and throw on a thick and cozy Prairie Underground top.

Kelsey is wearing the Prairie Underground Satellite Top in Oatmeal with a Melie Bianco Bag and dav Rainboots. *We currently only have the Satellite top in Turquoise, available in the store but please call for more information on special orders and delivery dates!*

We also have the Denim Girdle Legging in Olive available online for pre-sale from the Prairie Underground 2012 Spring Line. These will be flying off the shelves as soon as they're in so place your order soon to reserve a pair!
