Oh my Cardigan.

This week's lookbook will be slightly different.  At Shop Adorn, we can easily cover you from head to toe and provide a variety of options and possibilities.  One piece of clothing that's a staple for any woman's wardrobe is a... cardigan!  Dress, t-shirts, tanks, jeans, heels, sneakers, slippers, a cardigan is extremely versatile!  I know I have at least ten in my closet!  From long to torso length, full sleeves to 3/4, and solid colors to patterns.  The Alternative Apparel cardigans are great to add to your closet.  There are two designs( Two-Pocket, and Disheveled) and both are long.  From casual to classy, these cardigans are a perfect match!

More Looks for Men (Penguin is In!)

I guess this week for men it was more of a cleaned up looks.  Also show casing a couple of the new items from the Penguin line we now have in!  The clothing is great, and it really is a nicer, casual, and easily dressed up style for men.

The first look is the RVCA Americana II Chino Pant and an Alternative Apparel's Eco Perke polo to create a dark and sleek look.

Then we have the WeSC Slim Chino Pant and a Penguin S/S Woven button up.  This look is obviously a bit more sharper and put together, but still really great to wear!

The last look is WeSC Slim 5-pocket jean and the Penguin Saddle Ragan V-Neck.  Still nicer dress, but the jeans help to make it more casual.  Penguin carries a variety of these really nice V-Neck sweaters, perfect for fall.

Glamor and fun!

Yet another gray day. Thanks, Oregon. But luckily it wasn't raining and didn't stop the lookbook from shooting.  This week one of my best friends, Emily, came into the store to be the model.  It was a lot of fun!

Her first look is something that's so Emily: glamorous and fabulous.  The Laurisa Maxi Dress, Owlita Pheonix Feather earring and a Ms. Wood bracelet for fun.  This was the first thing Emily walked up to and went "ooooo" when she came into the door.  The dress also made it fun for Emily to goofily channel her inner Tyra.

From glamorous to fun, we went QSW themed, previously known as Quicksilver, with the second outfit. It's the QSW "The Easy Vest", the QSW Nouveau Deco Dress, a pair of Special Portland earrings, and the House of Harlow 1960 Horseshoe ring. The dress is really great because it loves you around the top and then lets you breathe from the waist down.  The vest is also a fun cover up that can be worn buttoned up or down, like in the photo.

The last look is a lot more casual with the Nikibiki green/teal tank, QSW Pacific Marled Tank, a pair of Sarah earrings, and Paige Denium "Hidden Hills".  When Emily saw the tanks, she honestly freaked out.  She thought she could only get them Goshen, Indiana, where she goes to school.  They are one size fits all and are seriously soft.   The pants were a great fit on Emily, but the did run a bit long since Emily is less than 5'6" in height.  But that's what tailors are for! Or if you know anyone who's really handy with a needle and thread.

I've been having a little extra fun with Photoshop, so I hope you all enjoy the extra bit of color in with a couple of the photos. Until next week!

A Cloudy Day Can’t Keep this Fashion Away.

Even though it was a strange, cloudy day in July, fashion still came through.  This week my fellow intern, Leah, was the model.

Her first look is made up of Tano Finders Keepers Clutch Wallet in black,a Special Portland bracelet in turquoise, Alternative Apparel Disheveled Cannes Cardi in navy, RVCA My Fire Colors in cherry red, and finally, a cap sleeve cami.  Obviously this look is very colorful, and works with those wacky Oregon summer nights of being almost not warm enough.

The second look is made up of the House of Harlow 1960 peacock ring, the new LA Made Faith Top in natural, and paired with the Siwy Hannah Jeans.  A stylish and comfortable look for those will-it-or-won't-it partly cloudy days.

And lastly, this looks is made up of the Melie Bianco Riley Envelope Clutch in blush, Plume owl necklace, Alternative Apparel Burnout Woven Drawstring dress in denim blue, Alternative Apparel Cardigan Cover (also in gray, navy, blue, white and gray stripes, and black.  The cardigan is really great because of the variety of colors it comes in, and it's the perfect for those slightly chilly summer nights.
