Shop with Portland Picks/August: Summer Lovin’

After years of being a jeans-year-round girl, I finally discovered summer dresses. And what a find they are! It’s shocking to me that I left dresses behind for so long, since they’re one-step dressing, they’re comfy as all get-out, and they’re a fun way to wear head-to-toe prints (if you’re so inclined) without looking like you’re on your way to a condo in Boca.

ShopAdorn is blowing my mind right now with some fabulous finds… let’s explore!

1. This Tracy Reese maxi dress: The print is kinda Boca, no doubt, but awesome Boca! It’s glam, it’s sexy, it’s graphic… it might be tough to beat in the “wow” department.

1. This Nouveau Deco dress: Since I’ve deemed myself too old to wear rompers, this is the next best thing. It would be perfect with flip flops on hot days, great for throwing on & running around town, and totally hot .

1. This Petal Paisley dress: This is the slam-dunk right here. Perfect for meeting the parents, sipping Mimosas on patios, and taking you from work (add a lightweight cardi) to a night out (add heels and some glam cuffs and you’re an instant goddess).

1. This Quicksilver dress: Okay, okay… it’s not for everyone. I personally can’t wear it since I need a supportive bra (booooo boobs), and like a romper, it’s probably too young for me, but OH EM GEE it is so adorable! It’s backyard-barbecue ready, and totally solves that problem that arises when you know you’re gonna be kicking around all day in lawn chairs, but don’t want to dress like you’re going to mow the lawn afterward.
