Recap: Collective Content Photoshoot

Last Tuesday we had our first ever PDX Collective Content photoshoot! Models, makeup artists, hair stylist, photographers, and local boutiques gathered to collaborate and create content for each other’s businesses. This helps us not only build content to promote ourselves, but we get the opportunity to promote each other while sharing creative talents from all over Portland. We can’t wait to show you guys our behind-the-scenes photos and all the fun we had throughout the day.

We started off with our Hair Stylist Ainsley Manesh (@ainsleymanesh) creating whimsical hairstyles for our models.

Our makeup artists Charmaine (@charmainestyle) and Kelli Thomsen (@kellithomsen) created the perfect looks to go with their outfits and personalities.

If you’re looking for a photographer for your next special event then you came to the right spot! Dionne Kraus (@dionnekrausphotography) and Emery Adair (@emeryadairphotography) are professional photographers who really have an eye for capturing the essence of every individual and the space they’re in.

Our models made every outfit and photo come to life! Cassi Teach (@_cassondramarie_) and Drea Johnson (@dreabeaa) were our beautiful freelance models. Paige Craige (@tequilastainedtees ) and Alisa Fairbanks (@alisafairbanks) not only modeled for us but also run their own blogs and often collaborate with other artists and businesses! Check out their Instagrams and blogs to read about food, lifestyle, and beauty.

Lastly, we had so many beautiful clothes and accessories from our favorite local boutiques! Ecovibe was one of the brands we shot.Their mission is to take time and care to consider where and how things are made, who makes them and what they are made out of. They donate 1% of all of our sales to 1% For The Planet to ensure that they are always giving back to environmental causes.

Gild is one of our favorite places to get trendy shoes for any occasion. Owners Erinn and Nicole pride their business on fantastic customer service and have a passion for helping their customers find the perfect footwear that complements both their sense of style and lifestyle. Not only does Gild feature a collection of independent shoe designers but they also sell several local handbags, leather good and jewelry designers.

Ayumi Angel brought stunning jewelry that completed every outfit. The philosophy behind the collections is that fashion should be simple and easy. The inspiration behind the designs is the minimalist aesthetic found in Asia where Ayumi lived. And we can’t have a photoshoot without some floral arrangements, so Oak Grove Floral (@oakfloralgrove) brought a beautiful bouquet and a couple of flower crowns. Of course, our own brand Adorn was there with our own outfits ready to make an appearance for springtime!

Altogether the PDX collective content was so much fun! We were able to get so many great photos and meet other independent artists all while building community. We can’t wait until next time!
