Even though it’s only mid-January, we are so ready for spring and a little more sun and warm weather! As we’re looking forward to the transition from winter, we’re thinking about all the spring trends that are going to be hitting our stores and wanted to give our lovely readers a sneak peek into what we’ll be carrying after next week. As the first part of our 4 post series, we wanted to highlight some of the colors that we love for spring 2018.

First up: Pastels! Spring definitely brings to mind light, wistful colors and these two tops are definitely among our favorites for pastel pinks. The first is the Hard Tail Skinny Tee in Crystal that fits like a glove and is so cozy underneath the Mod Ref Delilah Cardigan.  And guess what: The Hard Tail tee comes in 5 other gorgeous shades! It’s just thick enough to keep you warm on walks through your favorite park or curled up on the couch with a good book. We also loved the Mod Ref Ref Top in Dusty Rose that’s perfect for the office with these Fifteen Twenty Ankle Slit pants in navy.

If you’re not into the softer pastels and want something with a little more pop, we are all about jewel-tones for spring. The details of The Odells’ Shift Dress in Sapphire will have you melting as the curved hem with frayed edge and side-seam pockets keep you looking relaxed and stylish. And, of course, you can never have too many sweaters. I fell in love with the Soaked in Luxury Gertrude V-Neck in Cabernet which is perfect for spoiling yourself for spring. It’s slightly oversized with a loose fit so it pairs perfectly with these McGuire Lou Lou pants.

First off, major shout out to Mod Ref for making it into two of the three color picks for this rundown; their pieces are just so easy to style. Our last color trend is less of a color and is really a pattern: stripes! We loved the Mod Ref Cole Dress in stripes (which also happens to have pockets!!) and, honestly, every woman should have a shirt-dress that also doubles as a tunic over jeans or leggings on those chilly days. Finally, we have this Rails Taylor Button-down in Florence Stripes, punctuated by a feminine floral print. We layered it on top of a basic Current/Elliott V-neck in Black Beauty to leave it unbuttoned and loose.

Let us know what some of your favorite colors for spring are and head over to our Fremont and West End locations next week to try out some of ours! Check back on Saturday for the second blog post in the Spring Trends Series on some of our favorite styles for spring.

Happy Thursday!
