No nobody paid me to say that, really. September is the best time to buy denim…why? Well fall is the most popular season for buying. Consumers do most of their clothing shopping from September-December. Something about cozy sweaters gets people excited. Well denim labels recognize this so they choose to introduce a majority of their new styles at this time. This means all the new denim styles, cuts, technology and treatments are out NOW for you to check out and buy. And of course the classics are always around. Here are just a few I’d like to introduce you to…
The Boyfriend
I don’t know about you but after a few days in my skinny jeans I’m ready to throw on some ‘boyfriend’ style denim. Cut a little more generously around the body, this style is great for a casual look. I love these J Brand Aidan Slouchy jeans because they are just boyfriend enough but they still skim the shape of the figure without being too baggy and sloppy. Also a BIG trend is the ‘distressed’ denim. Again it’s just the perfect amount.
Wear these with Yosi Samra Ballet flats, loafers or even some ankle booties. If you’re petite this style is best worn with a little heel to give your legs a little length.
The Jegging
I have clients who worship the jegging and who wouldn’t. I mean really….pair your favorite style of pant, the denim jean, and the most comfortable article of clothing you own, your leggings and you’ve got a match made in Fashion Heaven!
