Meet our May customer of the month, Megan! She’s been one of most loyal and dear customers for years, and we had such a blast hanging out with her and her beautiful baby boy! Check out our Q&A with Megan where we ask her about her personal lifestyle and fashion preferences!
Q. Have you always lived in Portland? If not, where do you call home and what brought you here?
A. I have not always lived in Portland, although I consider Portland my home. I was born in the Bay Area and lived there until Kindergarten until moving up to Portland. I moved to Southern California for college and New York City for graduate school, but Portland kept calling my name, so here I am, and here I will likely stay.
Q. How do you like to spend your personal time?
A. I am a momma to an 8 month old, William, so I like to spend what free time I have with my husband and him. Outside of my family, I enjoy my bowling league with my friends (I’m awful), getting mani/pedis, and reading a good book.
Q. What are some professional and/or personal pursuits that you are passionate about?
A. I have dedicated my professional career to working with individuals with disabilities. I left my first teaching job to pursue my masters in Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. Now, I am a special education teacher working primarily with students with autism. They are all such unique and wonderful individuals, and they teach me something new everyday.
Q. Any special talents or hobbies you want to share?
A. I make killer enchiladas, I have played piano for 25 years, and I love to interior decorate.
Q. How would your BFF describe you?
A. So I asked my best friend this question, and he said that I am “well dressed, fiercely loyal, and unafraid to tell it like it is.” I’ll take it!

Style Q & A
Q. What do you love the most about Adorn?
A. Where to begin! I love how they marry, perfectly, style and comfort. And, of course, the ladies who work there are fabulously kind!
Q. If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it look like?
A. Is it bad that I would say head to toe black? There is something so chic/badass about a loose, black cashmere sweater, black jeans and some motorcycle boots.
Q. How would you describe your personal style?
A. I guess you could describe it as “urban hippie.” I love a good poncho and my silver Birks, but will pair them with some ankle length leather pants instead of going full on hippie. I guess New York rubbed off on me a little bit.
Q. Heels or flats?
A. Pre-William, I would’ve said heels, hands down. Since becoming a mom, though, I’ve traded in my spikes for sneaks, flats and boots.
Q. Most regretted fashion decision to date?
A. Hands down, boxers as shorts (early 90’s). I used to rock plaid boxers with a Marvin the Martian tee shirt and sketchers…it seemed like a good idea at the time.
