Obey –

Welcome everyone! My name is Ryan the Intern and as this is my first blog for Shop Adorn, let me get started by introducing myself (I know y’all are excited). I recently graduated from Oregon State and have moved back to Portland for the foreseeable future! I’ll be coming to you, yes YOU, two times a week to talk all things brand related…or whatever else I feel like. (Please excuse any sardonic or sarcastic undertones. It never translates to text well…or so I am told).

Yea, you heard that right. Obey me! No this is not a demand nor is it a part of some weird conversation. This is the new phrase coined by me, just now, for those than want to start rocking some new Obey clothing.

Of the many brands Shop Adorn carries, Obey has to be one of my favorites.  This may be due to the fact that they carry a nice selection of men’s clothing instead of just a few things here and there.  I am a fan of the short sleeve shirt and shorts and Obey delivers with many great options.  Have you seen The Crossing Shirt? I’d pop that collar.

I am also currently in a sweat short phase (technical term pending). I love everything about them. I also happen to know everything there is to know about sweat shorts – ok bad movie reference. They provide the comfort of sweatpants, but offer the cool feel of shorts. Sounds perfect, right? Right. What do you suppose I saw on my first day here in the store? Sweat shorts from Obey Mens Clothing (I found that technical term: Obey Navajo Fleece Short…I like sweat shorts better).  I was unaware one could find designer shorts like this. Not only that but is has the ever increasingly popular Navajo motif.

Another reason Obey is amazing – their graphic tees. Given that the brand was founded on the love of graphic design and art, one would think this would be a staple in all their apparel. This is not the case – BUT, when they do put graphics on their clothes, they do it in stellar fashion. Did I just say stellar fashion? It shows the creativity and the passion for art that the founder of Obey has.

Recently, I wrote an article on how to be casual and a fashionisto (a male fashionista, yea…). Obey men’s clothing is the definition of that. I can throw on most of their clothes and feel ok for just about any situation. Lunch date? Yes. Night out? Yes. Wedding? Maybe. Casual Friday? Absolutely. What I also like about Obey is that they are affordable. Unlike other similar brands, these apparel pieces won’t break the bank just for the sake of breaking the bank. Obey Raw Deal Button up: 55$

But seriously, the quality of clothing offered by Obey for the price is fantastic. Do you want to know what is even more fantastic? Of course you do. Shop Adorn carries a wide array of Obey clothing!
