What’s red, white and blue all over? These festive Fourth of July outfits! While it’s not required to dress up for the holiday, it makes lighting sparklers and drinking a PBR in the sun that much more fun. (We do not condone drinking while playing with fire at our Portland Boutique, especially the fire part!) Plus everyone will secretly be jealous of your festive ‘fit. Below are a few looks that are just the right amount of spirt, without going overboard. Unless that’s what you’re going for, because then we recommend wrapping yourself in a star spangled flag and screaming AMERICUH!
We couldn’t include a Fourth of July outfit without throwing in some denim. And while star covered pants, in theory might sound over the top, the hint of print on these J Brand Aoki Stars Cropped Jeans is subtle and sweet. Blue Yosi Samra Ballet Flats and a striped Amour Vert top pull off the perfectly patriotic vibe.

The “Daisy Duke”
Our take on the Dukes of Hazzard bombshell is a less Jessica Simpson, and more something you would actually want to wear to lots of summer shindigs. We actually used a mens RVCA button up for this outfit because the colors were too good to resist, but this would work with any button up/flannel/etc. Feel free to raid your man’s closet too! Layer a Free People Bandeau underneath, or even a swimsuit top if you’re out on the water. Complete the look with these white Sanctuary shorts and any sort of cowboy boot. This would also look amazing with the J Brand star jeans if you need to switch to pants later in the evenin
Free as a Bird
Get the boho look in this light and airy QSW Dress. The red and blue bird print will make you feel free and liberated, just like you should feel on Independence Day. Forget about styling your hair and tie it up in a scarf a la Rosie the Riveter. Add a pop of color with a skinny belt and throw on some comfy wedges then drive your Chevy to the levy and eat some American pie.
